ZADO TRIANGLE
ZADO JUKU training is given 2 days a week to practice three sorts of
training systems in turn regularly. ---
1)*GOU-HOU: system and its core is hitting mainly with an arm (and a hand
or a fist) and a leg (and a foot, a knee or a heel) and the defense.
2)*JUU-HOU: system of Ju-jutsu in a broad sense including throws, take-
downs, locks, strangleholds and the defending.
  3) GOSHIN-HOU: system of self-defense which is based on free fighting
techniques like kumite (sparring) of mixed martial art <1)+2)>. Further it is
including training against handy weapons like knives.

* It is very important to connect "GOU" with "JUU" and the reverse, too.

On ZADO TRIANGLE, make the bottom line "1)*GOU" and "2)*JUU", and put "
3) GOSHIN = Self-defense " on top of it

GOSIN-JUTSU, Summit of BUDO
ZADO TRIANGLE shows that fighting ability of mixed martial art <1)+2)> is
ZADO's foundation and GOSHIN(=Self-defense) is always over and on it.

Expert of Karate, Kick-boxing, Boxing and so on might be able to knock out a
thug to keep himself from the violence. However, he cannot be responsible to
save the opponent's life.

On the other hand, GOSHIN-JUTSU over the result of Practice based on both
GOU and JUU is at a noble level. Because it can make me save even the
opponent who is attacking me. Although it is still very hard even for myself to
do I ought to make it a goal for the Black-belt of ZADO JUKU. I also feel like it
leads to "Fair play in fight" in 'BUSHIDO'.

Noble Ability
I have the training of GOU-HO and JUU-HO to keep my own life and, let me
repeat, I practice GOSHIN-HO for higher and nobler ability including the spirit
to save even others' lives. For instance, whenever I can finish the fight with
either GOU-HO or JUU-HO, I should take the latter. Then if the opponent loses
his will to fight I should immediately stop my offence. And I call those "Noble
Ability".

Recognition of "KEIKO": TRAINING
But there must not be bias and likes-and-dislikes on the training systems: 1)
GOU-HO, 2)JUU-HO and 3)GOSHIN-HO in ZADO-JUKU. In order to have fight
to keep life, Just get the ability not to be defeated.
In addition, I can prevent a thug and even myself from committing a crime.
Above all, it meets "GI (義) " : rectitude, justice or righteousness.
Let's learn real strength.

Recognize Weakness
Then, I recognize my own weakness at the training (keiko). It must be the
starting point to get physically and mentally strong. It is great to know how
much weak, not strong. I never mean to be used to being weak. I want
everybody of ZADO-JUKU to feel that they are always getting strong little by
little.
In Socratic philosophy, he says "A human wants what he or she doesn't have.
" I always conceive lack of my strength and it can be my motivation for
strength.

For Momentary Strength
I can never change my past and I also do not care about my future which is
uncertain to come. But I always want the present momentary myself to be the
strongest. <Setsuna no tsuyosa>
For my present momentary strength, I have to learn my own weakness. I do
not need confidence in myself which is rather abstract but *mental preparation
(kakugo) for fight or for death and *my natural self (Byoujou-shin).

*mental preparation (kakugo) for fight or for death: 'BUSHIDO' says "To die when it is right
to die, to strike when it is right to strike." I am sure it might mean" to live when it is right to live".

*my(one's) natural self (Byoujou-shin): "Byoujou-shin<平常心>" is one of Japanese Zen
terms. In ZADO JUKU, I use the term as saying "I must make myself fight in myself as I am all of
the time, of course at the risk of my life. "In other words, I do not need special preparation for a
fighting match, but daily constant efforts is the most important. I do not know when, where, or
how the risk of my life comes at me, so I take constant ordinary training(keiko) very important to
show the power of the present momentary myself in any fight.
